After a long, not so patient 3 year wait, our small batch rum release is now finally available for purchase online.
This was a special project close to our hearts. Fermented from a custom blend of sugar cane and molasses, we've distilled and aged this craft rum for a minumum of 3 years by the Papamoa coastline.
Sitting quitely, maturing away in a White Oak ex New Zealand Red Wine Barrel absorbing the onshore seabreezes and cycling through scorching summers and freezing cold winters, our rum has developed a unique array of flavours consisting of caramel and honey, followed by an Oaky Red Wine depth and finishing ever so subtly with a slight whisky note.
We went for a completly different look to what most will recognise us being famous for with our vodka & gin. We wanted to pay tribute to an elegant aged rum by giving it a touch of class whilst still remaining sophisticated yet unpretentious.
Named after our grandfathers family business from the 1940's. We've combined old world charm with a modern touch.
Mixed over ice with either ginger ale or ginger beer and a wedge of fresh orange, this rum is a delicious, refreshing and unique addition to our range of handcrafted spirits which we are damn proud of. Equally suited for Summer afternoon catch ups, or sipped quietly by the fire on a chilly winters evening.
